Urban Learning Communities - PS1 Charter School |
Our Vision Statement:
P.S.1 strives to create a
community of empowered, compassionate, and contributing individuals who are
informed and aware, healthy and happy, and have a passion for life long
learning.
P.S.1 Mission Statement:
P.S.1’s mission is to enrich life in the urban
core of Denver—to add to its attractiveness, increase its economic viability,
enliven its cultural life and bring out its hospitality. P.S.1 will make its
contributions to this mission by enabling young people to work together as a
learning community on challenging projects that make a difference in the quality
of city life. In the process, it will draw students toward higher and higher
standards or character, conduct, work, academic achievement and community
service.
P.S.1 is Denver's oldest charter school.
Students are motivated to take charge of their lives, discover their limitless
potential and become responsible graduates with a strong academic background and
a sense of personal and social responsibility.
