The Denver Street School is dedicated to the belief that a quality education is the most effective means of transforming many disenfranchised members of our society into productive citizens. The school is founded on a commitment to Jesus Christ as Creator and Lord and is driven by His example of compassion for the poor and forgotten people among us.

To serve the population of students in Denver that have dropped-out or been expelled from the public school system and help them toward self-sufficiency through education and an introduction to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 1. Providing quality personalized education to
as many at-risk students as is feasible who want a second chance to earn their
diploma in Denver.
2. Assisting students in being productive after graduation by helping them enroll in college, enlist in the military or join the work force. 3. Helping students identify and overcome negative habits and patterns in their life that will destroy their future especially through the provision of student services and positive activities including career counseling, athletic programs, an honors program, mentoring and faculty advocacy. 4. Manage a national association of street schools to intercept troubled lives with education around the nation. Current programs at the Denver Street School Our Westwood Academy is in West Denver. The student teacher ratio averages 10:1. The population of the street schools is almost evenly divided between African American students, Latinos and Caucasians. Students are referred to the school by social services, parole officers, relatives, churches, and public schools.
