AMEND’s mission is to help men stop their violence and break the cycle of abuse so that they and their partners, children, and families may live in safe and peaceful homes. AMEND provides counseling to men who have been abusive; provides advocacy and support groups for their partners; advocacy and a support group for children who have witnessed domestic violence; and community education. The proceeds from a vehicle donation can help in many ways. For example, a vehicle donation resulting in a $350 contribution would help underwrite one of the following:-- the equivalent of the children’s counseling program for a month, -- the equivalent of adding a victim’s support group for one year, or -- the equivalent of the 24-hour crisis response for victims in one of AMEND’s county offices for one year.
